Room correction affecting loudspeaker choice?

Seriously, I have no life.
I know next to nothing about psychoacoustics but so far I don't get the impression that Dr. Toole has said anything that contradicts my original belief, but I am really happy and thankful that he participated regardless. I will try to remember at least the following, quoted from his posts# 26 and 33.:D

"Once the sound has left the loudspeaker one has limited ability to interrogate the performance of the loudspeaker using in-room measurements - no matter how clever the mathematics. ..
Interesting quote from him. It would make sense that if there is a Toole like speaker parameter spec from an anechoic chamber, compared to the in room, the difference is a room issue.
How to tackle that is a work in progress. I think.
