Room advice 5.1.2 or 7.1

I need some room/setup advice, our home theatre is in the right half of a back split finished basement, a large open space, with stairs leading down to the front centre of the basement. The theatre portion is on the entire right side of the basement.

we currently sit about 15 feet back from the 2 left and right floor standing speakers and the centre Channel, all Axiom speakers.

the side surrounds are quadpole mounted about 6.5 feet above the main listening position, directly on the sides of the listener. These are fixed and cannot be moved.

the rear surrounds are Axiom on wall speakers about 13 feet behind the main listening position.

wondering if it would be an option to assign the side surrounds as the elevated surrounds ie. the 5.1.2
Instead of 7.1.?

I currently also have 2 unassigned vintage floor standing speakers that I was intending to use in zone 2

hope that makes sense, I may just be confused. Lol thx! You

The atmos speakers should be ceiling height but not too far spaced apart.
You can try it out though.

If you're willing to relocate the speakers to do it properly this is the way to go!

The atmos speakers should be close together but at ceiling height. However, you can give it a shot. This is the way to go if you're prepared to move the speakers to do it right! After that I can recommend you a site https://olympiancasino.com/ where you can relax and play online games.
Where did playing games figure into you resurrecting this old thread, surely you didn't just join this site to plug your online casino?
