I just got my Roku HD last night, now with the price so low there was no reason not to get it. :D

It was very simple to install, it took all of about 5 mins if that. I have it hooked up via composite video through an up-converter to component video. Video quality on my older TV looks great, DVD quality. I have it connected to my wireless network and most movies were streaming fine, there was an odd pulse with "The princess and the frog" but "Ironman" did not have it.

The other channels are awesome. Tons of other content to find. Pandora is nice, there is also another little app that will play your local stations if they stream. I haven't played with all the content yet, there is one app (mp3 tunes) that syncs your music library to play through the roku box :D

Getting the roku commands into my Harmony 880 took longer than the set up, logitech doesn't have it listed, but if you set up a new device under DVD, with the model # Roku N1000 it has the codes.

Simple, easy to use, tons of free content... and for under $60 what's not to love.

Apparently Hulu Plus is now coming to the Roku - bonus!
It is slated to be coming "Fall 2010" whatever that means...

There are also some cool private channels like Youtube and Archives.org, I tried them out and they work fine, interface on YT is a little tough to nav but it works.

Update...

After a few days of using this little black box...it is great, I'm sure that there are other set top boxes that do more, but for its intended purpose it functions flawlessly.

Interface: It is easy and simple to use, but it would be nice to have all the channels on one full page rather than having to "scroll" through a long horizontal list of channels. Another pain is that there is no keyboard so searching takes a bit of time, nothing major and it has the search results come up like a goolge instant search.

Netflix: Streams without a hitch via wireless (not N), some films had anomalies (as stated above, "Princess and the Frog" was "pulsating", I watched an episode of Monk which had some digital pixilation but it might have been due to two other computers downloading stuff off the net and slowing down the bandwidth.

YouTube: This is a private channel that works great, typing in a search takes a little bit with no keyboard.

Kidlet: Great free channel for kids, not a ton of content but some good stuff for kids from about 4-10

Archives.org: All of their public videos, what more could you want.

Pandora: Nuf said, it links to your current account and has all the channels that you have set up.

That is all for now, but it is def worth the $59.00!
