RIP Stephen Hillenberg, the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Hi guys,
It was sad to hear that two days ago Stephen Hillenberg passed away from complications of ALS, aka motor neurone disease. He created the immensly popular show SpongeBob SquarePants, which probably every human being in developed countries that's still alive today has heard of. It has inspired many kids, and many hilarious memes were made out of it. The show and even the world will not be the same without you, Mr. Hillenberg.

Yeah I saw that this morning. Not a huge fan of the show but I did watch it from time to time and it was as you say immensely popular. I know a lot of kids who adored SpongeBob. RIP Stephen
