Ring Doorbell Camera Recommendations?

How is Ring IOS? Is that a play oon 'Internet Of Things'? The thing I don't like about some of these things is the fact that they have been bought by sellers that can price them lower than anyone else can ask because if they do, they lose money. Anything owned by Google is in that basket of crap (not commenting on the items, just the practices). I don't want to be in the position of losing sales to a manufacturer or corporate owner.

The ring is IoS for the same reasons - see linked YT on what Amazon could easily do with the smallest misunderstanding and wrong report. I don't mean it's running Apple's phone proprietary OS (Iphone O S), but strongly belongs to the Internet of Poop category (swap poop with another less family-friendly word that starts with the letter S). Google has a long-established history of killing their products with little notification and even less path forward in most cases. I won't trust my home security system to company like that.

I know- as a dealer, this is exactly what I was referring to when I wrote about having to compete on unfair ground, with the company. The first time I saw prices that I couldn't match was from Panasonic, when I was trying to sell TVs- that's when I started telling customers that they could buy the TV(s) or I could find something, but I needed to make a few bucks but I wouldn't match prices if it meant losing money. Besides, if I don't provide the TVs, I'm not the one getting the call if it has a problem and that, too, has a cost. There's no way I want to eat a service/trip charge.

One of the best things about EERO is that I can check them by using the app- I was near a customer's house one day and decided that it was time to check their network and when I saw that it was down, I drove to their house to see why. I went in after asking the landscaping crew if they had been digging near the edge of the grass close to where the ISP's cable entered the house and, of course, they said they hadn't but I knew the cable had been cut because I called Spectrum while I was on the way. The homeowner didn't even know there was a problem because he was using his cell phone. We went outside and found where the cable was cut and I called Spectrum again, to set up a service call. I can also reboot or update the EERO remotely.
