Richard Gray or PS Audio??

I have been trying to finish my H/T system with the most effective power condtioner I can afford. I have narrowed it down to either Richard Gray or PS Audio both of which have been highly contested or tauted in the past.

I am a bit skeptical of the PS Audio AC-DC-AC power converation and have read that it is not as good as re-generated power such as in the Richard Gray unit.

Anyone that has feedback on these units please share, I would be very grateful.

I would be cautious about power conditioners that are not UL approved. Many of the esoteric ones actually cause worse turn on transients and can even amplify surges. Very few companies offer UL approved and PART 68 approved power conditioners. Just like with cables, the price isn't always an indication of quality.

I'd go up to $500 if it really improved the system. Maybe $700 if the change was very noticable. Just for power protection I would spend $300 or so.
