Hi guys,
I bought 20ft of RG6 double shielded. The specifications are:

Belden-T 9116R DUOBOND II 75 OHM SERIES 6 1C18

The cable is not that flexible.

Is this the right cable to make component cables? and also stereo audio cables??

Thanks
Mark

If you can terminate them, it is the right cable for all your audio and video needs, except optical:D

Yes, it is. Understand that there are literally dozens of different kinds of rg-6 available in bulk, some being more flexible than others.

It'll work fine but it's overkill, IMNSHO. Whatever theoretical gains you might realize over using a thinner gauge, say 59U for example, are more than outweighed by the difficulties in working with the thicker cable.

Now, if you're taking about extremely long RF runs, than that's another story entirely.

Can you use it, yes.

Would I, no.

Should you, honestly if you need to ask us if the cable is ok, then no.

Save yourself some grief and just blow $35 and buy a premade set of cables that you won't need to worry about for the life the system.
