Revel loudspeakers - model/quality of sound requests?

New to this forum and hope I can gen some input on Revel loudspeakers.
I currently am borrowing M20 bookshelves and they are just superb in the mids and quite nice on the highs. They only lack <45 Hz low bass since I am not using them w/sub.
My question to you revel experienced individuals is this: What floorstanding full range Revel models sound like the M20 but have deeper bass?
It seems that if I buy these M20 models I would definitely need a sub and I know sometimes sat/sub systems do not integrate as nicely as a full range floor standing speaker.
So, look forward to inputs on what sounds as wonderful as the M20 but is a full range Revel floorstander?
Regards,

PS: If there is another Revel area that might be better, please direct me to the URL?

I don't know a lot about the Revel's as a whole, but the Revel Concerta F12's are supposed to be EXTREMELY nice and you can find them at decent prices. I believe there was a pair on Audiogon for $800 but it is listed as sold now. They're supposed to produce gorgeous sound, especially for music, rivaling speakers that cost 5x as much as they do. The detail and quality is reviewed to be unbelievable. I'm sure that they make other great speakers as well but I'll let someone else advise you on that since these are the only ones I have really researched. :)

Good Luck!

Thx Melee. Yes, I have talked to a few Revel owners about the Fxx series Concerta floorstanders that exist now. The current model is the M22 bookshelf that replaced the M20 but,,,, several have told me the M22 does not have the exceptional midrange the M20 has. So, curious if the F12 sounds more like the M22 or the M20?
Too bad there are no stocking Revel dealers in the Austin, Dallas, or Houston, TX area.
I have actually been trying to get an audio club going in the Austin area but in 1.5 years have been unable to do so. A club meet at someones house is one of the best methods to experience other sound systems.

You should not discount the idea of just getting a subwoofer to use with the bookshelf speakers you like so much. Most of the time, when people have trouble integrating a subwoofer with other speakers, it is due to stupidity, not an inherent problem with doing this. Of course, with a more full range speaker, it is fairly idiot-proof to get the balance right with the deep bass, so it is easier to deal with if one does that. However, typically it will cost more for the bass to do it that way, though one usually also gains higher maximum volume with larger speakers. So what you ought to do depends on what you want the speakers to do, how capable you are at balancing things (which is much easier if one uses a modern surround receiver with a built-in setup system), how much money you have, and what you want the end thing to look like.

The Concerta series is nearly identical to the Infinity Beta series. Which used to be available online for very cheap. if you like them look up the Infinity Beta stuff.

The Best JBL stuff is the LSSRs though.
