Resident Evil: Retribution BD

Redboxed it because it didn't look like it was going to be good. It lived up to that expectation unfortunately. It looked and sounded great, but aside from that, there wasn't a lot going on. With the exception of a few entertaining fight scenes and production value, it was pretty average. I'd still put this one above RE2, but not by much. Resident Evil fans (which I am) will still find it passable, but definitely a rental not a buy. I'd put it on par with Total Recal 2012.

Too bad they don't offer 3D for rental, because it seems like it would be a fun 3D flick. I have both the 2D and 3D of RE: Afterlife and that one is a LOT more fun in 3D. I may pick it up when the 3D goes on deep sale like Afterlife in 3D did.

Yup, I have to agree these latest Resident Evil movies are really starting to tank, badly. You can definitely see they are pushing the 3D thing in some of the scenes. Even though I'm an RE fan I'd consider this one border line, even for a rental.

Then you will hate this one just as much because she has another outfit in this one that just barely keeps everything under wraps.

i was looking at this in the store about to purchase but then realized that i wasn't impressed with afterlife so i put it back, ill try it out on a rental though. I miss the first and 2nd one.

Like I said, Afterlife was far more entertaining in 3D. These movies are relying on the 3D aspect to add the extra "flash" that will keep you interested because the rest of it is pretty thin. It loses something in 2D and without that, you are sort of left with the lesser elements.

This had lots of action and great audio/video, but the storyline wasn't that great. They left it open for what looks like would be an even worse sequel.

yea glocks rock,i noticed that,and it looks like they will be toteing around a little girl too in the (what looks like )the final film,i thought retribution was ok...good fight scenes and great audio is what i like most,and i kinda like them going through different areas to get out but ,yea its not a great movie,and milla is just so fine....maybe it is something in my subconscience...but milla is prolly the only reason i watch these movies anyway....she is fine....
