Replacing receiver for Panasonic SA-HT40

Seriously, I have no life.
But just a single port?

Edit:
Mono simply sent me the wrong cord for this particular set up. They sent me a cord with four male heads. I need to look for something local to either adapt or just a long m/m/m cord.

Because the receiver had a single sub port and the sub itself had two (and I was provided a cord with four heads), I was confused.
Yes, your receiver has just one sub out. You can use the cable you have and plug one cable into the one sub out on the receiver. Make sure you plug the opposite end of that cable (same color) into one of the input ports of the sub. You can plug it into the right or left, it does not matter which.

The sub has the ability to take a L/R signal out of an older receiver and sum it to mono. You just connect one of the inputs on the sub itself, sometimes that's designated an LFE input on a sub to indicate you'll be using bass management in the avr, but it's a mono signal out of your avr so just pick either the L or R input. Max out the low pass filter (marked "freq") as you'll be using the avr for setting the low pass filter. Don't know what the cord was for...you just need an rca male to male cable (a shielded one might be a good idea).
