Remodeling Suggestions

I'm remodeling my basement where my theater is located and was wondering if anybody had suggestions about what should be installed before the sheet rock is hung.
So far I have my speakers (7.1) wired to plates in the walls including the subwoofer and have a main outlet behind the tv where all of the speakers and antenna cables end. I also have the theater lights on their own switch so I can dim them or shut them off completely. I plan on installing a cat5 cable tomorrow that will start at my computer and end behind the tv in case of future needs. Can anybody think of something else that should be done before it's too late?

Thanks in advance, Andy

Is projection TV a possibility? If so, now is the time to at least spend a little on pre-wiring in the ceiling. Where are the components going to be placed, by the TV? Can you run rg type cable for several sub location just in case or arrangement is pretty much set due to decor? Power by the sub outlet?

The ceilings are only 7' so I think the room is too small for a projection tv, right now it is set up for a 61" rear projection tv with the amp rack by the tv. Where the sub is currently wired there is an outlet and there really isn't another place to put the sub considering the size (SVS plus 2). I'm still debating whether or not I should run a cable through the ceiling just in case I get a projector down the road.

7 ft ceiling should be doable for a projector. You would just mount it closer to the ceiling. Hard to predict where to set a pre-wirie up there as the minimum(max light on screen) throw distance depends on screen size and make. A 1.5x screen width may be a good place.
It would not be expensive now to wire a set of HDMI and component cables up there, power and possibly a trigger wire if you might consider motorized screen.

If it was me, I'd run conduit everywhere - you never know what you'll want to do later. I'd go ahead and install conduit for a PJ (one for power and one for signal) to a potential PJ area just in case - it's cheap insurance.

If he does, he needs to make sure to make it big enough for connectors to be pulled through with cable.
