Register Martin Logan Speakers I'm Selling?

Hi all,

Slight dilemma here, to get Martin Logan's 5 year warranty, they make you send in a registration card within 30 days of purchase. But I am selling the speakers to someone. The warranty card claims it only applies to the original purchaser.

Anyone know how accepting Martin Logan is for warranty repairs? For a high-end speaker company, their stance is upsetting.

Thanks!

Probably best to contact the company directly and explain the situation as I am sure that they could answer this question better than any one here. I am sure that they would advise you of any other options available for the warranty.

Why do you find their stance upsetting? Do you think all other high end speaker companies have a different sort of policy?

From what I have seen, they are very good about warranty repairs. They might not be accommodating (not that I've seen such a case) for some very old speakers bought off of ebay . . . . but I think sometimes they might be! I think I've seen them give a driver for free to an involved consumer for a speaker that was well OUT of warranty. I'm sure that's a rarity, but you can call them. (IOW, I don't think they'll do that for anybody, but it was a very interested and involved ML forum member, IIRC). I've spoken to a nice lady there before, but if you want the CS honcho, Jim Power is your man.

Anyways, I'm not really worried for you. Have him fill it out, and pretend it was a gift. In all honesty, I'm pretty sure your product will outlast the warranty anyways.
