all he needs is a costume :)
I guess, but Carman Electra could be our spokesperson.:D I wonder how much that would cost.

It's almost like we have two sites sometimes - which is kind of cool. We're attempting to meld them a bit more closely with the new website - or at least we will before it's all said and done...

Another thing that is good and bad, but which I think helps, is that we're a tad ban-happy... This is bad if you're the ban-ee, but excellent for not allowing the forums to be filled with people who are there simply because they think they know everything and want to spout off. If we see a pattern of behavior that indicated someone is just plain rude, obnoxious or any other form of jerk we usually help them on their way. To be honest, it's all we have time for.

I don't think we'll do anything with IM, but I'd like to see some of the latest posts appear underneath the articles they may relate to when that is appropriate.

I'm all ears, and if you don't know what the new site reference is to, check out this post:

On the right track...

I think AH is doing a good job overall, i do think that tighter integration between the website and forum is a good thing.

Navigation is decent already but I could see it being a challenge for new members.

Keep up the good work.

I find this site more reactive, in terms in ease of use and fast use. HTF is sometimes too slow because of all the brandwidth issues. I guess we are good for now, I find this site to be enjoyable to use most times. The only time I really feel bored is around the later hours, which is when I started this thread. Speaking of which Clint or other admin., would this be a good sticky, like a suggestion box of sorts?

I like the tone of this website overall. Elitism is down to a minimum, debates rarely blow up into flame wars.

The only thing on my wishlist would be more reviews, but I understand the hard work involved just for what is being put on the website now.

Keep up the good work!

I try to make an effort to review things I get, even older items as there is always someone somewhere that wants to know about older products they find on Ebay or used elsewhere. I am such a used person.:(

I just pass the word along, whenever I'm at the stores, I just tell people go to Audioholics.com, best website without the bull, I know of at least 8 persons that have visited because of that. Now if everyone here did that (impossible) can you imagine the traffic and the possible memberships?:D

Hey how about bumper stickers?

Oh, a chain letter:D Sounds good. They do draw a huge crowd:D

Along the lines of IM, I can see an AH chat room being a useful tool. I enjoy the navigation of the site and forum as is; so I hope that "Audioholics 2.0" doesn't step on it's own feet.

I could't posably agree more. :)

hay Seth,
what about a clone of Carman Electra as the AH spokesperson?
a clone traind in the ways of the nerd, a clone that would know what a room mode is, and could answer questions in the forums.

or would that be creepy? :p

Agreed, if anything a chat room makes more sense.

We as users could setup our own chat room.
Internet relay chat is great for such a thing. But I wonder if that would in turn affect the traffic on the forums. Things a so perfect, why screw with them.
And another issue with creating a chat room would be we the users cant simply direct people that way. I suppose with a little creative thinking and spamming we could build up a chat room full of AH users.
I do like the idea. Would be a little more personable, anyone else have any thoughts on the idea.
