Redoing Entire Home Theatre Setup, Need input on Speaker Choices

Hey guys, center channel blew on my old setup which was basically the Klipsch Synergy 3 Series (C-3, F-3, S-3, SUB12). Looking to get a crazy killer system that can reproduce every single musical note with clarity and OOMPH.
The budget is $7,000, I'm willing to go higher if i can note a difference in clarity with higher end speakers. I was thinking to buy the Klipsch Reference
RF-83 Home Theater System, but after joining this forum... Forget that. I already had a klipsch setup and wasnt TOOOOO impressed with them as for my dad was going crazy over klipsch and wanted them dearly so we got them. Now I was looking at some dynaudio speakers and they look pretty darn good. But if theres anything better than that then... Let me know! . If this was your $7,000 how would you spend it? It is the Living room, its approximately 18x12 Ft with a ceiling that peaks at about 14 feet down to 10 feet.

Idk what receiver i should use, but I want some good quality stuff.

Is there a notable differenence with 7.1? I think I'm probably going to go 5.1 but if there is quite the difference in the overall sound image ill go with 7.1

You're looking at $5000 right there. Shipping on the SVS's will be a bit, but not more then 200(unless your not in the US. All US prices). With tax in you're well under your budget, and this is what I would currently buy.

Music and HT system

If I had your health budget and a dedicated room, I would buy a pair of the Onix Strata Mini's from AV123 for 2 channel music listeing and the Onix Ref 100, Onix Ref 1's and one or two good subs to fill out the 5.1 or 7.1 system.

There are a lot of good options in your budget so listen to several of them and let your ears decide.

The High end Klipsch THX speakers would ge great for movies but are probably not ideal for your 50% music listening.

but my room is 3 times the size of his, so I went with large speakers...

Lots of good suggestions here...

I am partial to the Studios, and think they are a great speaker.... You don't really need large speakers with that small room.... Mazer makes some great suggestions... but deffinately let your ears be your guide, go sample a bunch of speakers to see what you like... remember that you are very used to the Klipsch sound which for some is quite bright and revealing...

While I fully agree that running a bookshelf as a center is a good idea I would strongly recommend running a single center rather than two. If you don't want to let that bookshelf go to waste use it as a rear center not as a second center.

The point of a center is to centralize audio adding another makes it so you much phantom center anyways, defeating its purpose...
