The TSC speakers get good reviews and will produce a much fuller sound than the Takes. You would need to get a TSC center channel (ideally another TST1)
It looks like TSC is a good store...but lots of items are sold out!

Here's the plan for the speakers:

TSC TST1 (Pair): $210
TSC RC1 Center: $30 (TSAT was only in white!)
Dayton SUB-120: $155

At $395, I'm good with ~250 to play with for a receiver. Does this lock me in to TSC surrounds, too?

Is the 120 too large for my space?

The Dayton will be fine in your room. Just remember that you ultimately set how loud it will get. Surrounds are less important and don't really need to match the rest of your speakers. It's usually easiest and most aesthetically pleasing to just get the matching set, but a lot of people (including me) use mismatched surrounds.

If you mostly listen to music, you could wait to get the sub until you've had a chance to play with the speakers for a bit. The TST1's go pretty low so you may not need a sub with them for music. If you watch a lot of movies, you'll probably want the sub to take advantage of the LFE track.

You will get lots of different ideas about thois - almost as many as people able to post.

As far as AV is concerned - they are all much the same now.

Kaspersky is known to be one of the better paid version of AV, lots like Avast for a free one.

I use AVG8 paid version but the free version is almost the same less control of updates etc.

For Anti-malware - AVG8 has one included but MBAM is very good and in the paid version has a resident scanner. Winpatrol is also a good Anti-Malware monitoring system with the added advantage it does not need to be updated. It too has a paid version as well as a free one.

All of them are available from adverts listed on this domain.
