I've used Sennheiser HD-558s until recently but the security wonks now say that because the 3.5 mm cable could potentially be replaced with one that integrates an in-line microphone, the 558s must stay home. Budget is $100. I've searched Amazon but haven't found any descriptions that guarantee non-detachable wires.
