Receiver to power 5.1 now and 2 outdoor channels later

I just ordered some KEF Q300 (as fronts) and a Q600C to upgrade my HT. I've searched all the threads to identify a receiver to match these in a 5.1 set-up, as well as add 2 channels to my outdoor patio in a year or so, but can't find any threads that remotely address this situation specifically beyond people just recommending that others consider the KEFs for their system.

From what I have read, I believe this can be accomplished with a 7.1 receiver, making sure that all channels (or specifically the second zone) are all powered, but I just can't wrap my head around and properly identify receivers that will do this correctly.

I have a powered sub. Prefer Denon, Marantz, Elite. Budget around $500. Room is 13'x27'x8' (viewing area is approx. 13'x15'x8'). Can any kind, knowledgeable souls please tell me what receiver(s) will properly power the KEFs as well as fill the outdoor requirement (nothing fancy) down the road?

Denon has several 2012 models that have been drastically discounted

Most ( if not all) 7 channel receivers will do what you're wanting with out a separate amp as long as your theater is running as a 5.1 channel setup.
the extra 2 amps get assigned to zone2.
Note: if you intend to play music in your zone 2 from digital sources you will need a receiver with that capability.
one that comes to mind is the denon 3312 if you can still find a new one. The newer 3313 won't.
Cheers, Mac

Thanks guys. No doubt the 3312 would be great, but my budget is $500 and I am not confident with a refurb (not there with $500 I don't think).

I guess I'm unnecessarily confusing myself. A 1912 would be my baseline for 7.1. Stepping up from there is gravy I suppose.

Can you share any thoughts on the Marantz 1603? Is the 50 watts per channel these offer just a bad idea? Or is that a misconception? Can I do the second zone with the 1603?

No you can't do a second zone with the 1603. 50 watts is enough depending on your speakers, size room, and desired listening levels.
