I have a 50" Panny 1080p,

Phase Technology CI-150 (4 ohm) Frt
which incorporates a Center Channel (8 ohm) in it

Phase Tech - Octave 12 powered sub

Phase Tech - CI 7.2s - 4 mounted in the ceiling

After reading a number of posts, I am looking for a receiver that can handle these speakers, 2/3 zone controls, HDMI and component, Siruis, Blu Ray (yet to be purchased)

I do want to hook the receiver up to my computer to play music, pix and be nicely intergrated for video when that may happen.

From what I see the Yamaha seems to have this feature at this point.

Im looking at 800 - 1500 price point.

Nice site, good reading,

1st Post....

Thanks,

Nawlins

P.S. I was reading that running the receiver set at 6-8 ohm would be optimal even though my fronts are 4 ohm,

Are there any issues with doing this....

:D

the 1st gen yamas with networking, are still a little hit and miss, you might be better served looking at a seperate component to handle that. Aside from the networking, their units are very cabable for handling your goodies. Demo a couple a brands if your not sure( pio, denon, onk, yama all make great intergrated products, and list goes on).
