receiver, speakers, blue ray advice

I just bought a panasonic 54" G10 plasma and want to set it up with this combination. I have Energy Take 5.2 speakers with Yamaha powered sub already mounted on my walls and I'm thinking of going with this combo. I want to hook up a yamaha YHT-S400 soundbar because the sound is not good coming out of the TV and use it for normal watching. Then I'm thinking of buying the Yamaha RX V765 receiver and the Oppo BD-83 blueray play. Does anyone think this is a good setup for the money? I'm thinking $ 1500.00 for all 3.

I know the oppo is an excellent player but you might want to consider the ps3 for blue ray.When 3d happens you will be able to upgrade the ps3 easily through sony.Otherwise,your going to have to buy another bd player.Hope this helps.

If home 3D depends on just the player and not a new TV/projector, that would be a small price to pay

I agree,now I will have an excuse to get a bigger T.V.
