Receiver Recommendation if you had to buy today? (I do)

So the HDMI board on my Onkyo finally fried.
I'm going to run HDMI straight to my projector and hook up an optical line to the Onkyo in an attempt to be able to still use it for the time being.

But that brings me to my question:
If you had to buy a receiver today, which one would you buy?
...Because I want to buy one this week.

Last I heard Onkyo jumped off Audyssey, So who's the best bet: Yamaha, Denon, Marantz?
I guess I'm looking for something that can take me into the next era of Home Theater as it emerges, so: Dts:X, 4K, HDCP 2.2?
Because I don't want to buy something now and then replace it next year.

....Point me in a direction, if you please.

Some idea of budget helps.
Do you run or plan to run 2 subs?
Oh boy, anything within reason. ...Up to $3K I guess.

I'm actually running 4 subs and 2 buttkickers, but it's all through an active splitter, so effectively one sub out is fine. I'm wired for 7 speakers on the ground and 4 overhead as well.

I'd even consider a pre/pro solution.
