I have bought some new Infinity Primus 252's for my fronts and have Beta es250's for surrounds and Primus 152's for the backs.
I have a Denon AVR-587 What I was wondering is this receiver not enough for these speakers.
does anyone have any ideas on what receiver I should go with?
the receiver is rated at 75 watts, I dont think this is enough.

Welcome to the forum!

Question for you - have you hooked up the speakers and listened to them with your receiver? If so, do they sound good? To me, that's the true test of whether a receiver has enough power for you. If the audio/speakers sound strained, then more power certainly might do you good. If they sound good, then you're set.

yes I have. yesterday I was home and was listening to music from tv and it just was not that loud. so I turned up the volume and I was able to max it out. it still was not that loud.

and thank you, have been coming to site for some time reading and picking the brains of other people that seem to have the same disease that I have.

Was your system loud enough for you before you bought the new speakers? Those Primus 252s are pretty efficient. I would think that they would play plenty loud with that receiver - of course, that depends on how large your room is and what you consider to be loud.

You say that you were listening to your TV. If you have the TV hooked up to the receiver with a variable audio output, did you try adjusting the volume on the TV itself? That's the way that I have my TV connected.
