The fact is, with those speakers and sitting 4 meters or closer you can hit reference level with just 100 W.
Even a light weight AVR-X3600H can drive them without the emotiva amp. Reference level to a lot of people, should be considered "mind blowing concert effect".

Since you have the power amps already, why not get a Yamaha CX-A5100, or Marantz AV7705, or AV7704? If you want to stay with AVR, then anything from the AVR-X3600H, or SR6013/6014 should give you the same sound quality as the prepros, for half the price, but then the internal amps will be just idling. Idling the internal amps is not a bad thing though, as you can then engaged ECO full time.

What is your budget?

The Denon X3600 has the 11Ch processing. So does the Yamaha A3080/A3070/A3060 AVR.

By next Spring/Summer, the Denon X3600 will probably be around $600. Now it's about $800-$900 street price.

The Yamaha A3080 is probably around $1500 street price. The CX-A5200 probably around $1800 and CX-A5100 probably around $1750 street price.

If you believe in buying refurbished, then the price might be lower.

Sure, just cost more, what can the 6500 do that a 4500 cannot do for your system?

I think ol' John has some money burnin' a hole in his pocket... :p

It's a common misconception that more power or more $$$ means better sound quality. If you buy competently made equipment they should all pretty much sound the same, as the goal for every manufacturer is to reproduce sound cleanly. The differences in cost are in more processing, a little more power, type of req used and some other various bells n whistles. At the core, with all the processing turned off and all other things being equal I don't think there are any audible gains in sq. If you level match and defeat eq I'll bet an avr has enough power and will sound just as good as your Emotiva. As long as you're operating both within safe parameters, all things being equal.

Since you already have the amps, I'd find the best deal on an avr with the features you want. You don't need the power so that can save you a couple bucks as long as you have the preouts and 11 ch processing. The units PENG suggested in his first post are rock solid units and should do everything you want. If you're chasing improvements in sq the only route to that is in the speakers or subwoofage.

That being said, my personal choice for a receiver would be the 3500/3600 Denon series for what you're asking.
