Receiver - Budget Recommendation

If it was me, I would purchase that Marantz 4001 receiver. Then after a month I would purchase 2 bookshelf speakers. Then after that 2 more. Then a center channel. And finally a sub. This might take a year or so. But for under $800 you could have a really nice system.
Just go without a subwoofer with the new receiver? Also, I have ceiling mounts for my speakers because the room is a very open family room/kitchen/dining room and there are no bookshelves to put the speakers on. I rather like the ones I have, even if the quality is so-so.

NO, no no. The speakers are bookshelf style, smallish speakers. I put mounts in the ceiling to hang them from.

I understand. They are still HTIB speakers. You could get good money on E-Bay for them. Just a thought.

Interesting thought. Craiglist? What about buying stuff on ebay, craigslist, etc.. NO warranty, possibly stolen. What is your thoughts?

On Ebay, just make sure to check the seller's feedback and you're good to go.
I've got many things there myself, never had a problem. Another thing, pay trough Paypal (www.paypal.com), it's very secure.

Your pretty new at this right? Unless you want to put hours, and hours worth of research into it. And hours, and hours of auditioning to find out what your purchasing off E-Bay, Craigslist. Have at it. Just make sure the seller is reputable.

Is there a way to set up the front B outputs on the receiver to be wired into the passive sub?
