Receiver Advice - Energy C-4 Main's

I just bought a nice pair of Energy C-4's. Excellent shape and sound fantastic even with my 15+ year old Pioneer VSX-502. Right now I just use this for 2 channel music. I do want to step in to HT, although my room layout (and devoted wife) will limit me to front, center, and sub. no rears :(

I would like a receiver that is good with music, and matches up well to the C-4's (I will get a Energy center eventually).

I don't need (or can afford) cutting edge so I'm looking for something I can find on Audiogon, eBay, or Craigslist for $300-500.

I've read that Yamaha's go well with Energy. Any suggestions? (or ones to avoid?)

Thanks.

Any of the top company AVRs will work well with those speakers. I would buy new and look at the Yamaha RX 659 or 661 as well as the Onk 605.

Like Greg said, you can buy new! The RX-V659 is one little powerful receiver. You should be able to buy a new one for around $330 to $350.
