What a great deal this little gem truly is! I received my A-100 today, and I'm truly blown away with it's
sound quality, and build! Really like the black finish!
This thing blow's my little Topping Tri-path amp away. The highs are much more
delicate, more airy sounding. Harshness is completely gone, and the music
emerges from a dead quite background.
With the Topping I noticed listener fatigue would creep in after about 20-30 minutes of listening at moderate
levels. Not with this amp. Had to be the relatively high distortion spec of tri-path amps.
Much punchier amp as well. For $197.00 I have no idea how they do it! I, mean
the build is really good! Absolutely no buzz, or noise. Full volume with no music
playing about 8 inches from my AudioEngine P4 tweeters, I can hear just a faint hiss.
Then again my Topping was very quite as well.
Runs extremely cool for class A/B design. When i get a chance I may hook up a signal generator, and my Scope to the amp, and see the actual clipping point under a 4ohm load. My AudioEngine's are 4 ohms, so I'm most interested in that power rating. Works fine with my 12inch Dayton sub through the high Level speaker inputs.
All in all a very nice package indeed!
