Oh just 2 things. I have a Hitachi 57" not 75" and the problem with the remote was "OB" .......Operator Blunder. Once I figured out the buttons it is working fine.

I dont know, My dad has Mitsubishi RPTV almost 2 years old now and I just bought a Samsung LCD, and my LCD has a much better picture than the RPTV.
With a 2 year old RPTV the guns will have a pretty heavy layer of dust. Just cleaning the guns should show dramatic improvements. I know I bought a 61" CRT RPTV in 2001 and in 2 years the picture was terrible. I ask a friend what he thought and he said clean the guns. We did, and it looked like a new TV. Now I clean them about every 6 months.

I'm on the verge of buying a Samsung HLP-5663 DLP for just under $3K after tax..........+ $400 for a 4year warr. However, the same place has a Mitsu. 48513 HD RPCRT for about $1850 after tax. It is a demo (I believe it's the only one) but I find it attractive because of the price. I've read all about the pros & cons of each set here & would like to save the additional cash. I can get over the size & weight issue because, really, how many times do you have to move your TV? Also, maintenance on the RPCRT seems minimal compared to the $300 or so for a new bulb every 3 years.

Once again, may I have your opinions?...............one issue I have is the 480i-480p-1080i display for the Mitsu. Anyone here unhappy with the HD performance of their RPCRT & wish they had a DLP or LCD?

On my tv i removed the screen and went from the front, some models the rear panel is the way to go. BE VERY CAREFUL!! DANGER TO LIFE!
I blow them off with low pressure air, then clean with lens cleaner.

I clean my RPTV once every 5 or 6 month. It start with a Bug that went inside and walk on the screen. I open up the back and remove the bug . That's when I saw the dust; I blow them off with low pressure air from a can but when I do it I have my vacum in the other hand to suck up the dust.
If you don't do that most of the dust stay inside the "box" and will go back down .

You guys seem to be on top of things, so I propose a question to anyone who has cleaned the crts for the Hitiachi 57S715. Where do you enter to clean, from the front or rear of the set? I want to do mine tonight. So a prompt reply would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance.:)
