I think Windows Updates are just about the coolest thing ever... on a new install, you have about 70 updates. Then another 70. Then you have sixty updates for the first seventy that you installed. And then there is another update to the second set of seventy. Then you have to install patches for those updates, and then more updates for the patches that originally fixed the updates.

Working on a friends computer this afternoon... it's proving very difficult and I am getting quite frustrated --- every driver that I attempt to load for the Ethernet Controller refuses work, even though the websites all claim that they were with this particular card. Hopefully I just found the right one

My entertainment center has now been disassembled and brought out to the garage. I'll try to get the carpet in that area vacuumed and shampooed prior to the delivery of the new stand in the morning.

Btw, that 27" CRT kicked my a**. I had to put it on a pillow and drag it into the next room.
