LOL. We have a thread on the Ioniq forums about washing cars. One guy gave a whole spiel about all the things that should be done and then said "I'm too old for that stuff, I take it to the local car wash." My response was, "I used to do anal while cleaning the cars. I used to be younger too."

Ha! I clayed our car once, just once. But, now that I'm retired and have more time on my hands...I'm still not going to do it again.

Today's episode of boredom is closely tied to being tired as an almost chronic condition of having gotten fat and lazy.

Babysitting and looking after SWMBO has me busy for the weekend but then I get to do taping magic for a former AH forum member, Ken. He got ticked off in some TT thread by the supply of critics who couldn't leave well enough alone.

The enduring boredom for you dear reader lies in knowing the reason why I'm interested in doing the taping for Ken. It’s because he appreciates excellence. I can tape at that level and it's ceilings that he had someone else hang and do the 1st coat on. The thing with ceilings is that you see them in their entirety for fuc&ing ever. He's had some fun trying to make walls smooth with the lessons in humility along the way. Now I get to step in and make it look easy for a guy who will never stop appreciating the job.

Not that taping is rocket surgery but ceilings usually get popcorn or some texture because slick finishes require skill and time. So, I'm gonna get to shine. Yay me!

I have been curious about the Blades. I would have come right out and asked to come over for a listen eventually. Funny how I'm not shy like that. But this is better because I get to be useful.

Again, it's only taping but it is a motherfvcker to get good at and Ken will appreciate it like love you long time appreciate it.

Got to get a few things done for SWMBO and get my tools lined up for tomorrow. I have never been this excited about taping. Like who would be?

Uncle passed away yesterday. He was pretty old and lived a good life, but it was still sudden. He wasn't feeling well, so they took him to the hospital and he ended up passing. My mom is the last of my immediate family on that side now.
