It was cool. My kid is down there with her boyfriend's family on vacation. They were about 40 miles away. Waiting for the video.

I had no idea why a Canadian became a member of the Artemis 2 crew. This gives some insight.

Wow, I'm proud of you and I say you because I don't identify as a Canuck but that's very cool. And you guys are pulling this off with the worst of all possible partners.

She mentioned a launch pad for Nova Scotia which is fitting considering all the space cadets out there.

There is a Canadian in the crew, too. I was about 4 years old when Apollo 8 launched. So, I don't remember it. I'll remember this launch.
Absolutely
Jeremy Hansen – Mission Specialist (Canadian; Canadian Space Agency)
Background: Fighter pilot
Education: Bachelor of science in space science; master of science in physics

Jenni Gibbons from Canadian Space Agency was a backup crew member for Jeremy, she is now serving a mission critical role in Capcom (Capsule communication), the only ones in Misscion control who are really allowed to communicate with the astronauts. Jenni is the first Canadian ever certified for a role in capcom.
Background: Mechanical engineer, combustion scientist, and assistant professor
Education: Bachelor in mechanical engineering; Ph.D. in engineering

These are some insanely clever, bright, hard working people!

Commander Reid Wiseman lost his wife in 2020 to cancer

I recommend the NASA pressconferences, streamed on Youtube, VERY INTERESTING

I'm still pissed that Adam's last post said the forum wouldn't be worth posting on by 2021 iirc. But I still love Adam. Good people get it wrong sometimes. That's all.

ADK aka Craig recently sent me the nicest gift of a WiiM amp that I haven't had time to hook up yet but it's been like a ray of sunshine in a dreadful week because of a loved one being laid up in a hospital. I don't have a lot of loved ones because hate keeps me warm so this has been awful.

Now the amp wasn't just the amp. It came with the coolest power cord I've ever seen. I'm gonna get around to posting pics because the amp on its own is too cool for school and the cord ... that really is something to see. No wonder people buy them.

My girl makes fun of me for having a lot to say about home decor. Like what guy first of all cares but then goes on about it? And then on top of that I don't watch sports. I feel like my masculinity is being attacked. But the things I look at affect how I feel so there's no way I can just let something slide if it looks off. I've already wondered how to get this cord into plain view after it's set up in the little computer system I plan to use it in. The speakers are little Infinity Primis affairs that came in my first HT in a box 20 years ago but I always liked them for the 4" mid they use.

I'm pretty excited about getting some decent audio cooking with the computer because I've been just using the speaker in the laptop and my hand will be forced in making the whole deal look decent. Up until now cable management meant hiding cables but now? How to keep this handsome devil in plain view is the challenge.

No doubt I'm gonna start talking about how the speakers sound better than I remember no doubt due to the power cord enhancement. I promise to go there. It really is a great little mid that they use.

Okay, I am bored with boring you. Back to Facebook where they're talking about guess what on the various cheesy audio groups. Power cords!

I never heard of the WiiM amp before, so I had to look it up. Looks like a nice little unit. It would look great on a phone stand.

Upon being offered that telephone table my niece said, "it's kind of ugly." Can you imagine?

I know her 5 year old daughter would love it. I just need to figure out where to place it. At least for the time being. I have a lot of work to do and I'm noticing that my get up and go got up and went a few years ago. It's funny looking at that table remembering the process of sanding, staining and finish that went into it. It seemed important then. It’s still a cool piece and as a play thing for a 5 year old girl it's going to be important again.

Thanks for reminding me to resurrect that thing.

I joke about it, but it's retro cool. I just had to Google some images of telephone tables and the sky is the limit for designs. We should start a campaign to resurrect their popularity. It could be a way to lessen kids' screen time - "If you want to use your phone, you have to sit at the phone table in the hallway."

Well, I'm glad you like it. It's tied to a lot of memories including a friend calling my efforts a restoration a 'dribble job'. The polyurethane ran on me resulting in those drips that you see when a coat goes on too heavy. That insensitive prick. I've been getting in touch with my feelings as of late.

My debit card got closed due to somebody trying to charge $2.98 on it at an out of state location. States are what America has instead of provinces (for my Canadian friends). :D

Now I gotta get another bank card. Sh!t, mierd, kaka. How do I not have time? I have sooooo much to do. F^%&.

Gotta run. I wish I was bored.

It is a lot bigger than it looks. It is about 1/2 the width of a standard component. I am very pleased with the Ultra streamer.

LOL. We have a thread on the Ioniq forums about washing cars. One guy gave a whole spiel about all the things that should be done and then said "I'm too old for that stuff, I take it to the local car wash." :D :D My response was, "I used to be anal about cleaning the cars. I used to be younger too."

I must admit that my fraud mojo is lacking, but I would have thought that if you're gonna try to charge to someone else's card, you'd go big.

In Newfoundland, "state" is another word for "mess". I'll leave it at that...
