Lawn Mowing Season!
Now that everything is growing here in Cali... I did the first round of mowing just before our 8 days of rain...

And another crop of Thistle sprouted from that rogue Thistle that went to seed two years ago... I pulled another 30-40 sprouts of that cr@p.

Thoughts and prayers sent. :p

We are actually in the process of moving to historic Niles. A nifty little old school town that is more like an actual small town compared to the rest of the Bay Area. No stop lights, no major stores, no Starbucks :D (but we do have two good local coffee roasters) My kind of town. We had a renter here for ~6 years and now we've decided to give up the short commute to live in this area, now that she's moved out.

Here we are again. It's telling me phase issues when running Audyssey (still can't spell it) but I'm scared to death of continueing at this time of night due to the chance of waking SWMBO. But it's happening. Craig (ADK Highlander) might be interested in knowing that it is FINALLY happening. :)

And I think the phase issue might be from the mid being reverse polarity from some other driver in this mix. A few years ago I did the battery test on the drivers to see the in out deal ... I would hate having to repeat that.

We'll see

Got it done and it sounds great. Money for Nothing was first at around 100 db. Now this. Really beautiful.

EDIT: The rec'r is a Denon AVR-X7200WA from ADK Highlander. Well, not only does it work, it rocks. Holy moly does it rock. I had previously cooked some components in the crossovers of the Dennis Murphy MB-OW1 3-ways and then spent about 100 bucks rebuilding them. They're backed up by Ken's DIY sub which he had designed by TLS. It's been a team effort.

And my first Panny plasma from Tweeter just before they closed down still looks killer.

Well between the rec'r telling me about a phase issue and a Spears and Munsil calibration disc clearly showing me a polarity issue, I found that I was sending a signal crossed for a mid to a crossover for a tweeter and a full signal to a mid instead of to the tweeter xo. I fingered it out (ha ha).

The disc with the menu shows something like a 323 page menu. This rec'r is absolutely the most capable one I've owned. I got to run Audyssey (still am not sure about the spelling) like 3 times today. Joy.

Edit: ... and yes, I realize I'm on the brink of being TDTOG. It's kind of amazing that anything of mine actually ever works. I mean it's taken me effin' near twenty years to get this far with this speaker business.

So, on December 29th, we had some wicked freezing rain. Being fully aware of this, I was very careful going out my front door to take out some garbage. I still slipped and landed on my back on the concrete steps.

It wasn't too bad until yesterday. Now it hurts when I bend over (shut up Alex), stand up, put my socks on, think naughty thoughts...pretty much anything other than sitting or standing still.

It's not my spine, it's my lower left side. I don’t have any bruising and it waited almost a week before causing me much discomfort. So...that's weird.

Congrats on the new toy, and something tells me you're streaming this from my Plex :)

I'm ashamed to say that I've probably had it maybe a year without hooking it up. But access to your Plex has been bringing me and mine a lot of joy going on like about 6 years now. This year will be my 20th year at AH. I feel like I grew up here. Or maybe I just grew old.
