Don't land on your head! Alls I'm saying...

That a reference to a bike wreck? That's right, I forgot about your avatar when we talked about BC. I guess back in 88, around Easter which is pretty nippy, I rode from Calgary to Van and hopped a ferry to Nanaimo (sp). A pretty spirited ride up to Campbell River onto another ferry which deposited me on one of those little islands in the channel. It was a time of bold errors. I guess I gave up bikes like cigarettes and drinking.

Hope your head's okay.

Ya I bought my first car two years ago. In GA you can get a motorcycle learner permit at 15, a year before car. Rode full time all the way to 2010 when I got nailed on my way home from work one night. Careless driver didn't see me and my three headlights. Disassembled their drivers front wheel, snapped my shaft drive, and launched me 65 feet. A year later I still went and bought my third Triumph, rode it twice up to Big Sur CA, and then said ok, lets get the hell outta this state. Took the now wife, back to GA where my Dad has made it clear he will not be leaving his home without a tag on his toe. But the vertigo keeps acting up, sold the Triumph 2 years ago and bought a TDI. But even that, this year, has barely been driven. Hoping I'm just going through some massive final phase of healing!

You might just be lazy! :D

I bought my first bike 31 years ago and sold the last one like 15 years ago. I did get to ride one around NH a couple of years back. That ride had me buy a helmet and get a license again which was cool. The class for that was surprisingly constructive but I'm still not ready for that 65 foot launch. My reflexes and confidence level had dropped off as expected. My safety/luck record was good for which I am exceedingly thankful.

I take your 'lazy' comment as humor, but not humorously, my doctors out here have made no effort to retrieve my thousand+ page file from that 6 week hospital stay. My wife and father recall being told that the neuro who did the surgery could see on camera partial tear(s) in the vestibular nerve. There is no pill or surgery for this. So, if thats true, then the freakshow vestibular testing(to see if I have vertigo, they put me a chair that moves up, down and all around FOR AN HOUR!) I am scheduled for this Friday will be canceled as I don't need to pay hundreds to have my docs here say, 'yup, you've got vertigo!'

Motorcycling is a thrilling experience. But the fact remains, we give car licenses to everyone like its a right. At this point, dirt biking and maybe some sport bike track days are all I'll ever do. But even then, keep the rubber side down, and don't land on your head!

I like to think it's because we're all buddies. :) Btw, you didn't come across as being really upset to me. I'm just sorry to see that you've had to go through all that.

I stayed home with Niki today. She's been having trouble with one of her back legs for about a week and a half. She's had issues with that leg off and on over the years, but it normally has cleared up in a couple of days. I'm glad that I stayed home because a storm is coming in, and she doesn't like thunder.

In related news, I recently woke up from a two-hour nap. :D

Verizon is driving me f-word crazy right now. I'm so pissed with them I'm almost considering going back to Comcast. Which is saying something because I left Comcast giving them the two finger salute. One finger per hand of course. Customer service my a$$.

Does Amazon offer TV and internet yet?

Is she like my cat and is unwilling to accept her limits when chasing toys down the hall?

Well we're going to need more info than that. They throttling your porn downloads again?
Duh. Plus there's the whole changing my plan and then overcharging me thing too.

I had a plan that I liked when they convinced me to upgrade to an internet + TV plan. I asked about a couple channels and if they were included in the plan and they told me yes. Everything was fine until I moved from the apartment to the new place. Apparently in order to transfer service, they cancel whatever plan you have and start you on a new plan. This transferring of service caused my TV plan to be altered, even though it's still called the same thing, as well as adding a charge to my bill.

Basically I lost the channels I had wanted and now I'm also paying a $9.99 charge for renting a router that I already own. I've talked to 3 different people and nothing was resolved. Now I left an unpleasant comment on their page and a not so back handed insult on Xfinity's page about switching back to Xfinity because verizon was so terrible and I tagged verizon in the post. Now I got a response from verizon on facebook and a link to chat with someone.
