You did your best under the circumstances Dave. I'll bet they custom bentI assure it's even worse than you think. And they only did the rear lines. I'm too embarrassed to say what I actually spent to have just the rear lines replaced but let's say it's a prime example of a dealership doing what dealerships do.
I custom bent the ones for my truck around an aerosol can. It was cheap ... real cheap. You did your best under the circumstances Dave. I'll bet they custom bent
the new ones. Not cheap.

the funny thing is I dont even remember posting the original..To much 4,5a-Epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one .. FLU is about gone and so are the last 2 brain cells..He must be a Catholic priest![]()
You had two? No wonder you knew so much. My one brain cell has like a stuck valve.FLU is about gone and so are the last 2 brain cells..
Funny story. I rented a new Charger for the week and I mean new. It had 32kms on it and we were the first people to rent it. That actually cost us less than taking a train home then back again to pick up our car.Did you rent anything interesting?
I figured I didn't need CAA since I have two newer vehicles with factory roadside assistance. But the Vette and the Ranger are only two seaters and I needed to take three people on this trip. The old Lincoln is the only car I could use for that. Usually, I would have taken one of the newer cars.It all boils down to location location...your mishap happened in the high rent district. Could CAA have helped and how much for a tow back to Windsor? Most of us who own older vehicles usually don't take them to the dealer for that reason.
One of the best things that you can do with an older or high mileage car is clean the MAF sensor. It's the first sensor close to the air cleaner. You need to spray it with some contact cleaner that dries without residue, like LPS. It's just two thin wires that need to be cleaned when they get dirty but it makes a huge difference in performance and mileage. You probably also need a tamper proof torx bit to get at it.My sometimes mechanic charged me $90 (I brought the parts) for the rear bearing which had to be pressed in, fuel filter replacement which is a total pain on that car and a freon charge. The fuel filter really smoothed out the car's performance. It's like half the rattles went away and the bearing was just about to spin on the spindle ... talk about waiting til the last minute.![]()
I used to have a brain cell. It died of loneliness. You had two? No wonder you knew so much. My one brain cell has like a stuck valve.
And their reaction was.....???![]()
Hehehe. First they asked what kind of turtles. Then without me answering they started to discuss the connection between turtles and tanks. I walked out of the room at that point since they took a silly joke and in typical engineering fashion took it too far.I want to know too, Nemo!

I think he needs a hug. Why is he so hostile? He seemed so sedate by comparison in his thread posts.Ouir old buddy "Lordoftherings" tried to give me a negative rep for that post with the comment:
"Get a real life Looser, grow up, be a man, stop sucking ***** of kids."
But a few years from now we may see a new generation of tanks modeled after turtles. Maybe you will get credit.Hehehe. First they asked what kind of turtles. If you can't follow rules then you can't play the game. Simple as that.Hehehe. First they asked what kind of turtles. Rules are no thing, but instructions are a different matterIf you can't follow rules then you can't play the game. Simple as that.
Rules? There are rules?Rules are no thing, but instructions are a different matter.
Still waiting...
Ooooh ... that's got me a little excited. I've got the entire set of tamper proof bits too. Of course I have all the typical electronics lotions and potions from my as of yet unsuccessful rec'r repair attempts. One of the best things that you can do with an older or high mileage car is clean the MAF sensor.
