Any downside to these? They have nice grills and are cheaper by far than Ceiling Speakers.

Just to pipe music at low volumes through the home.

Thanks

How many, what impedance are they, and with what what do you expect to be driving them?

another source of inexpensive in-ceiling speakers designed to mount easily in the ceiling. Why screw with speakers that will require some form of custom / hacked mounting system ?

as mentioned in the other thread, you can't just string multiple speakers on an amplifier. The combined impedance of the attached speakers can not be below 4 to 6 ohms, or you will burn out your amp.

Thanks to both of you for the great help. With the accessories it looks like I can wire many rooms without even adding an expensive 2nd Zone amplifier to my Home Surround receiver.

I will buy a few pairs, some with dual capabilty and some to use as stereo in larger space rooms and the garage.

Excellent for pumping low level music through the home easily. Thanks

If you're looking to run the speakers off the same wire, you really need to make sure you don't overload your receiver with the impedance level.
