Ok, this is my first time here - be gentle. No laughing at my inane question. My husband wanted this done and I'm a newbie at this!

Ok, so the Dish Network guy is coming Monday finally with a dvr for the media room. Here's the question - if the projector is currently mounted to the ceiling, wont the dvr ALSO need to be mounted there as well so the cables can connect?

If yes, what can I buy so that the dish network guy wont be pissy with me so that he can mount it? If no, then how does that all work out and do I need to get anything else?

THANKS!!!

Welcome skboone, no silly questions for those looking to learn. Most setups these days run the audio/video sources (VCR, DVD player, DVR, etc.) through a processor such as a receiver. Assuming this is how you have your system set up now, you’ll want the DVR in close proximity to the rest of the A/V gear. BUT JUST TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO RUMPLED FEATHERS EITHER WAY, ASK YOUR SPOUSE WHERE IT SHOULD BE SET UP.:p
