RCA brand speaker wire $32--100ft vs. $200 monster cable

All I need to say is I am very critical of my ht system. I could tell an audible difference between the two speaker wires, but I can't honestly say that one sounded better than the other. My $32 for 100 feet of RCA speaker wire from Home Depot sounded every bit as good as my friends $200 set of M1.2s monster wire. Don't figure. Bottom line save your money and get a good 14 guage wire or less.
This is directed at people working on a budget.
If I were rich I would buy expensive speaker cable also, but mostly cause they look awesome compare to my traditional clear cable.

Those who have pulled raw wire before realize that Monster Cable makes a VERY good product and in one pull half my company that had never used it before, was sold on the quality of raw Monster Cable (CIPRO).

Worth 200 bucks? Of course not, but it doesn't cost the store that much either, the store is screwin' you over.

How about 500 feet of 14 gauge speaker wire for about 100 bucks?

Really, the COST on Monster Cable is in line with other manufacturers, but stores get away with robbing you, the customer, blind on markup because they feel they can. I wouldn't buy a lot of their other cables, but for speaker wire - that's the only stuff I would pull in a house. Friendliest cable I have ever laid my hands on.
