What is the difference between these two remotes?
I think the rc-969 came with the 3805, and the rc-995 came with the 4805...

Which one is better?
Is there a "better" version of each? I know the "blue screen" RC-969 is supposedly better than the "black screen" version.

In case anyone cares, here is the emails exchanged with Denon.

Sent...
I own a Denon AVR-3805 with the RC-969 remote. I have recently broken
my RC-969, and was looking to eBay to purchase a new one.

On eBay, I have found a RC-995, which apparently ships with the Denon
AVR-480x series.

From the pictures, it appears the remotes are different . The font and
placement of some of the buttons on the RC-995 looks different than mine
does.

Any way of figuring out what the differences are between these two
remotes? Is the RC-995 an "older" remote than the RC-969?

Response...
The RC-995 is a newer remote that goes with the AVR-4806 and
AVR-5805 models. The RC-969 is the correct one for you. If
you need to purchase a new remote, then contact one of our
parts distributors at the following link.

If this is a defective remote issue, then contact our IL parts
division listed below for assistance.

Other than the foil, they are identical. The black foil (original) models were very hard to see in daylight, so Denon has been exchanging them for the blue foil RC's free of charge.

Both versions had many problems with "freezing up." I've exchanged mine (it was black) for a blue screen. It's much easier to see, but I still go through batteries every 2-3 months. It's pretty tough. My 2yr old son dropped it from the upstairs foyer onto our tile floor (2 story entryway), and a very small piece chipped off the center. It still works like new.

The remote you really want is the new RC1024 pictured below.
