As a matter of fact I am on Oahu. I'll be sure to check out those shops. Where exactly is this B&W dealer? Ward Center as in Ryan's Bar & Grill right?
Yeah, that one, but across the street. I think it's called Video Life.

LOL. My friends parents own Video Life. I guess I'll have to give him a call.

Well, if they give you the "family discount" - about 1/2 off, I guess it's a done deal. If they don't, check out the other guys. Pure Digital let me have a 1 week in-home trial.

corey - I took your advice and stopped by Pure Digital and Elite Electronics. Pure digital was very dissapointing. The only speakers I actually wanted to hear was the Boston VR3's and the Klipsch Reference Series floorstanders. Both were dissapointing. After work I stopped at Elite Electronics to have a listen to their PSB line. All I can say is one listen to the PSB Image T65 towers and my jaw dropped. The sound those things produce is just BEAUTIFUL. I think I'm going to get the T65's and the C60 in a couple of weeks. If anyone has heard the PSB's, have you heard anything much better for under $1k? That is what they were going for.

I found out that Video Life carries B&W, Monitor Audio, and Mordaunt Short. I'm probably going to visit them on friday. I'm really looking forward to hearing the Monitor Audio's. A complete Monitor Audio Silver line is looking mighty tasty. The Gold's are out of my league.

B5I8 ... Axiom has a list of folks who will audition their Axiom speakers and there is a fellow in Hawaii with a pair of 80s if you are interested in taking a listen prior to buying. Although some of the listed folks haven't posted in quite some time the person in Hawaii is an active member of the Axiom board...Axiom audition list
Thats Me ;)

I have a set of HG cherry M80's in my 2 channel system. And we also have a 7.1 Epic 80 setup in a dedicated theater although we only have the speakers so far. in that room. I would be happy to audition my system if you wanted to. But only the 2 channel is up and running.

You're located on Maui right? I'm on Oahu so I don't think I'll get a chance to audition your Axiom's. Thanks though.

Big island. But still far away. I think that if you decided to go with them you wont be dissapointed. When i was shopping for speaks I looked at the PSB 6T which is pretty similar to the T65 for a long time.. Decided aginst them, I believe the axioms are simply a higher end speaker.

Actually I went a completely different way. I ordered some Monitor Audio Silver Series this morning. It consists of one pair of S8's, two pairs of S6's, and a SLCR. They shipped out just now and have a shipping weight of 270 lbs. combined . I guess I'm going to have a major work out when they arrive because I have to haul all of them up to the 2nd floor.

I think the fedex guy that delivered it was just as excited to see what was inside those boxes as I was. "wow this is even better then the theater"
