We've always been fans of RBH products; that is NO secret. And while most of their speakers are large, they also have some serious products for those looking for smaller solutions. So if you live in a small apartment, or if you are looking for a compact, yet powerful speaker system, you might want to keep reading this overview. As we know, many people living in small apartments can't fit large speakers in their living spaces and with this in mind, our friends from RBH are offering their CTx Series 5.1 Speaker System ($1,750.00) which can be placed virtually everywhere. Take a look at the pic below to better understand what this system is about.
Although there are several other combinations to choose from, this is one of their most popular compact systems. It consists of four of their famous MM-4x Bookshelf Speaker as front and surround channels, one C-4x LCR as center channel, and the S-8 Subwoofer for added bass extension. You can also add another pair of the MM-4x for a 7.1 channel system. I've gathered some information directly from their website so you can learn more about them.
Lets start with the MM-4x Bookshelf Speakers:
This is a compact but mighty, the MM-4x mini-monitor pulls double duty as both a main speaker and a surround speaker. Its 4-inch aluminum cone woofer and 1-inch soft dome tweeter provide rich, full sound despite its compact size. The MM-4x can be conveniently mounted on optional speaker stands or mounted directly to the wall (a great option for plasma TV owners) using optional mounting brackets.
Next, we have C-4x LCR/Center Channel Speaker:
With an extra 4-inch woofer in a woofer-tweeter-woofer configuration, the compact C-4x can easily and discreetly be placed atop a television or entertainment center to superbly perform its center channel duties. Due to its design, the C-4x can also be used throughout a home theater system and also works very well for two-channel music when combined with either an S-8 or S-10 powered subwoofer.
And last, but not least important, we have the S-8 Subwoofer:
When space is at a premium, yet remarkable bass performance is the goal, it’s time for the S-8. Sharing the same 150 Watt amplifier as its larger sibling, the S-8 delivers much more than one would think given its small size. The S-8 is recommended for smaller rooms and areas and makes a perfect complement to the CTx models.
So there you have it, guys. If you are looking for something like this, give the CTx 5.1 System some serious consideration.
