Quick Receiver Question

Hello
I am looking for an a/v receiver, and right now only need it for a 2 speaker setup. I would like to have at least 5.1 so I can upgrade at some point, and also some decent power (100 W). I do not want to spend too much (preferably under $300). At this point, I plan to mainly use this system for just music, so HDMI and the video components of the system are not as important as the audio. Any input appreciated. Thanks

what speakers are you planning on using? Room size?

I have some JBL 830m's and am using them in a room about 15' by 18'

you should be able to pick up a unit from yamaha, onkyo, denon ect that is going disco close to your 300 price. Your speakers are fairly easy to drive, so avrs with 90w per ch and up should be fine
