Quick Question with DCX2496 Integration

Just run the pre-outs from reciever RCA to DCX input **using simple converter cable or adapter. Connect EP2500 directly to DCX XLR output. Use the ART Cleanbox between the DCX output and standard consumer amp RCA inputs.

That is the ideal setup.

**If you experience, in the rare case, a ground loop between the DCX and Denon reciever using direct connection converter cable/adapters, then use an ART DTI between RCA outs and DCX inputs. No adapters are needed in this case, as the ART DTI has 1/4" balanced, XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced connections on both IN and OUT sides. It uses a good quality isolation transformer internally, and will also convert unbalanced to true balanced signal.

Ok i just hooked everything up and am getting an extremely loud hum through the mains and subs.

I have the setup hooked up as follows

Denon-avr3806 - Line level output to Art clean box rca input then xlr output to DCX2496 then i have xlr output 5 and 6 to ep2500 amp. output 1 and 2 to samson s convert input then rca output to denon poa-2400

I thought the art clean box is suposed to eliminate hum.

Receiver plugged into surge suppressor. ep2500 in same surge surpressor i beleive or maybe the APC UPS. Poa-2400 for mains is pluged into receiver switched output. dcx plugged into APC ups backup

art clean box and s-convert - pluged into receiver switched output.

for shitts and giggles plug the dcx into the wall direct and or just a power strip and report back.

Ok here is what happened i was reaching back to change the power cable and i bumped the comcast coax cable and it neutralized the hum for a second so i disconected it and hum is gone totally only some bit of noise remains. the comcast box is connected to the receiver via component and optical cables. i can switch to HDMI or even just use component to the tv and bypass the receiver all together.
