I bought a Denon receiver for my stereo setup and I was wondering what I should set the power amp to? I just have two bookshelf speakers and a sub. It is a 7.1 receiver and the power amp can be selected to A, B, Surr back or Zone 2. My bookshelves are hooked up to the speaker "A" connections, so should I set the power amp to A? Is there any benefit i.e. more power or anything? What is the best way to go about this? Thanks guys!!

Leave it as is. Your situation doesn't require any changes.

Well it is set on Surr back now, so thats fine? My speakers are not bi-ampable so I would assume thats what this feature could be for? Thanks Rat.

The selectable power amp is usually for channels 6 & 7 of your 7.1 and can be set for surround back or another zone. If you are only using 2.1 you should not have to worry about it. What are the A & B channels? Surround A & B (speakers 4 & 5)?
