Questions about Marantz SR4003

So I am just about ready to order the Sr4003 from accessories4less, but had a couple of questions regarding HDMI issues and lipsync, or lack thereof. I've read elsewhere that there were some issues when using three HDMI devices with either no audio or no video depending on the TV power status. Have these been resolved?

Second, will I miss the lipsync adjustability that the SR5003 has?

Thanks, and if any of you think I should just spring for the 5003, that vote of confidence and reasoning why would be great. Note that at some point I would like to add SACD/DVD-A to my overall setup.
