How do you connect the Presence/Effects Speakers: Axiom Audio M2i to the receiver? Is this rather to replace the rear speakers? Thanks.

Is the model correct? As far as I know, HTS-5000 in a Monster Cable Power Filter, which does not have speaker outputs. Could it be a Yamaha?

Yamaha RX-V2400/1400

Okay, now were playing is explosives!

The Yamaha RX-V2400 is a 7.1 receiver:
1. Front L
2. Front R
3. Center
4. Surround L
5. Surround R
6. Surround Back L
7. Surround Back R
0.1 Sub

You can make it emulate a 9.1 by adding two presence speakers to the spring loaded clips for Presence/Zone 2 speaker connectors. I guess the comment in the review about lack of binding posts for the presence speakers was because they are clips not posts like the others. Bear in mind that unless you have "surround back" speakers connected to the surround back speaker posts, the Yamaha will send the surround back signal to the presence speakers unless you set it up as Zone 2. If you have the unit you will know what I'm talking about and the Yammies set up procedure.
