I came across a pair of definitive bp7001 sc speakers and a center 2500 & know nothing about hooking them up. Any one have a pdf file on that or can explain it? Thanks.

If you don’t have a separate sub, split the sub preout using a Y-adapter from receiver to each of the towers, then connect speaker wiring as usual. If you have a separate sub, connect as usual. Just hookup the 2500 as usual. Send Chet @ Def Tech an email asking for the manuals, they'll send you out a set no problem.

Thanks for the info. I thought you had to use the subs built in.

I think I may sell them as they are bigger than my room needs. First i will listen to them & the center chanel also.

No matter how they are hooked up, the powered (sub)woofers will be used. The DT Supertowers and other powered speakers allow the user multiple connection and bass management options.

Downloaded the manual from Def. home and got them hooked up. Listened to Arnold in True Lies. WOW, They blow my B&W's away for home theater. Thanks.

Where the heck did you find the manual for download on their site, it eludes me? Guess you'll be keeping them, eh? :D :D :D

I got better results using the simple setup (12 ga from the speaker level outs, no seperate rca to the sub inputs.) I also have an svs sub to handle the lf duties. I went to my local dealer the other day to audition the new mythos st's. I was very impressed. I then listened to to 7001's driven by a mcintosh. I currently have 2002tl's with a yamaha reciever. If I have to rob a bank I am going to get the 7001/mac setup. I have auditioned many speaker/amp combos over the years. I have never said "wow" so many times in my life. I played "cantaloupe island" from Brian Bromberg's downright upright cd. The band was in the room:D

If you're going to rob a bank, you might as well go for the 7000s. LOL:D
