Question for NAD people

Has anyone checked out the new C375BEE integrated amp? It specs out very similiar to the M3. It costs $1300 as opposed to $3000. NAD claims it shares alot of the same internal features as the M3. I heard somewhere that it's basically the M3 without dual mono contstruction and the fancy casework. I haven't been able to find any pro or consumer reviews yet.

Jason.

Hey Jason, look on the other continent, in the UK side. You might be able to find more information there. Mags (web sites) like "What Hi*Fi?", "HiFIChoice", "Hi-Fi News", "Hi>>Fi World", and other places like that.
The British and French people are perhaps more familiar with NAD products.
Also, check some UK audio forums, like AVForums (it's an English one).
You don't speak French by any chance?

I have to say that I'm a bit sceptical that any improvement in performance, when compared to the C372, justifies the price jump. There may be an improvement in specs - but are they audible? I'd have to see a side-by-side test before I'm convinced.

Do you think replacing my existing C352 with either the C372 or the C375BEE would be a decent upgrade? Or should I just hold out for an M3 when it becomes financially possible? BTW...my speakers are 4ohm...92db sensitve.

Well, it depends on the problem you're trying to solve. Do you have a huge room or do you like to listen to your music LOUD. The C352 has a good power supply. If your system is in a small to medium size room and you listen to your music at "normal" levels, I don't think you'd gain much by upgrading to the C372 or the C375BEE. In terms of sound quality, I don't think you'd gain anything. I would only recommend it if you need the power. Do you hear any clipping or does the amp get quite hot at the volume you like to listen at?

The M3 has a massive power supply if the published specs are accurate. I haven't any experience with it, so I couldn't make any educated comment on it.

But, my gut feeling is, only upgrade if you need the power. Of course, that's just my opinion. Maybe somebody else would like to add their two cents worth?
