Question for Bryston Pros

We don't see Jason back yet so I hope he is having fun reading what I linked. For Bryston fans, here it is again:

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=57.0

It may be hard to find the page but one included stories about how the warranty was covered when a Bryston amp fell out of the cargo area during take off, another one about an amp filled with 1/16" soot even after being flooded with water out of a house fire (something like that), if you can believe those claims. Even if you don't believe in things they said there, you may at least find some of the response from Bryston funny.

It's this statement right here that tells me that you are a troll beyond a doubt. You may not even realize you are a troll, but you are trolling whether you acknowledge it or not. That statement certainly wasn't for the benefit of anyone but you.

There's people that are n00bs, there's people that are helpful, there's people that you should listen too, then there's wire.
We haven't heard from him for a while now you are going to get him started again, thanks a lot!:D:D:D:D:D:D (can't stop):D

Hi Jason,

Here's a review of the Bryston B-60R (predecessor of the B-60R SST) from Stereophile.
>> The Bryston B-60R SST carries a 20-year warranty.

* http://www.stereophile.com/integratedamps/597bryston/index.html

And here's one of the Krell S-300i integrated amp from Sound & Vision.
>> The Krell S-300i could be found for about $1,300 usd street price.

* http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/audiovideo/3088/krell-s-300i-integrated-stereo-amplifier.html

*** By the way Jason, are you the one that previously requested some suggestion for an integrated amp?

Bob
That's me! I have been talking to some Krell dealers (mostly custom installers). Apparently Krell has already sold through their first production run and they are currently out of stock. None of the dealers have had any experience with S-300i because it's so new...but they all have excellent things to say about the company and all other Krell gear. One guy couldn't believe it was only $2500 and was going to talk to a personal contact in Krells technical department to get the lowdown on it. I'm still waiting to hear back. My only problem is the size. At 17 1/2 deep, it may not work to well on my rack.

That's me!
I thought so, I usually have a pretty good memory.

So, Jason, tell me, why start two threads instead of just one, which would answer all your questions? Oh, let me see, right, you wanted to know from Bryston experts. ;)

Yeah, Bryston and Krell are two top notch companies.
Hard to tell which one has the more refine sound.
But if I had to guess, my vote would go for the Krell, between these two specific integrated amps.
But ending up with the Bryston, I will not feel at a disadvantage for a second.
But the Krell S-300i is definitively the better one, an excellent integrated amp,
and that you can find for a very good price too, as you already know that,
and with the link too. That's a very high value for a Krell product of that quality.

* I know, that's a lot of "but", but...

Just curious...what do have against NAD?
They use a dated method of rating their amplifiers (IHF) which is no longer used for good reason. Reliability has apparently been hit or miss but I've also read they've improved a lot. I also don't like the way they look, grey is just so boring. Lastly, for the price of most of their products I don't feel that they offer the best for the money.

NAD used to make some of the best integrated amps, about 20 years ago and more.
Now, their products are overpriced compare to others, they don't represent value anymore.
They make some excellent power amps, but they're just not competitive anymore.
And they did have their darker years, not so long ago (reliability problems with components breaking down...).
