So, you're saying that if you look at them from the side and the lighting is right, you can see that the grill cloth is actually touching the frame of the woofers and it's farther from the front of the cabinets than the cloth? Unless the cloth is touching the surrounds, I wouldn't worry about it. The grill was designed to be extremely low profile and that may have been the only way they could get the look they wanted. OTOH, if the woofers have new surrounds, it's possible that the originals weren't as prominent. If the surrounds are rubber instead of foam, this is probably a moot point.
