Question about Jamo D 450

I bought a used pair and have a question about the grills. I can see the round outline of the speaker holes in the grill cloth. Is this normal? Do you think they looked like this new or has this just appeared over time because the cloth is stretched over the round holes in the plastic frames?
Anyone seen a new pair?

So, you're saying that if you look at them from the side and the lighting is right, you can see that the grill cloth is actually touching the frame of the woofers and it's farther from the front of the cabinets than the cloth? Unless the cloth is touching the surrounds, I wouldn't worry about it. The grill was designed to be extremely low profile and that may have been the only way they could get the look they wanted. OTOH, if the woofers have new surrounds, it's possible that the originals weren't as prominent. If the surrounds are rubber instead of foam, this is probably a moot point.

No, I see the circles in any light and from all angles. I think it's supposed to look that way. Since my post I noticed there is a raised edge around the speaker openings in the frame and under the cloth. It would seem they built it to look that way. That's ok with me, I just wanted to make sure that was correct.
Are you familiar with these? They sound a little weak or un-open in the mids. It's like the different instruments aren't separate enough or don't occupy their own space. Does that statement make sense? I've heard bi-wiring is a waste of wire, could it possibly help? Got any other suggestions?
