Well, I was able to go see Quarantine today. Lets just say I have no need ever to see it again. That should tell you something. Parts of it was decent, but the ending left me with that WTF happened feeling if you know what I mean.:eek: It was like the movie just ran out of film and had to end suddenly.:confused: Not even sure this one would be worth a rental imho. What a wash!:rolleyes:

Cheers,

Phil

Thanks, Phil. You are a movie-going machine!
Yeah, kinda looks like it eh? You know Adam, I have been known to make one here and there!:eek: Actually, I do that for me Adam to get away from things for a bit. This past week was extremely stressful as I actually had to do some real work for a change. :D:D You know, I even got my hands dirty!:rolleyes: Looks like this week is going to be about as bad, then things will settle down. As always, I guess I will make it. Next week, I plan to go see Appaloosa starring one of my favs Ed Harris. This looks to be a good one. Just wished I seen it today instead of Quarantine. :(:( Oh well, can't win em all eh?:rolleyes: Hope all is well with you my friend.

Cheers,

Phil

Also saw this on the weekend (at the Drive-in). The pre-views didn't look to bad, but it was bad. Blair Witch in a appartment, I for one will be glad when the whole "shaky cam" fad passes by. There is way to much to list that didn't make much sence in this movie. Two thumbs down.

Steve, you are so right about the Blair Witch thing......LOL!!!!!:eek: However, at least the Blair Witch was a better movie.:rolleyes: Besides, I had to say that because I went to high school with the producer of the Blair Witch movie. ;);) You know, gotta root for one of my hometown folks. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jamie, I plan to go see Appaloosa very soon. Maybe on my usual Sunday. Just depends on what else is going on and such. Can't say I blame you for not seeing Quarantine. You really are NOT missing much if you don't my friend. ;);)

That's pretty cool knowing some one like that.
Wasn't trying to imply that Blair Witch was bad, it was a original idea and anyone coming up with new ideas in movie making deserve high marks. Too many movies now days are just re-hashed copies of someone elses work, just look at Tim Burtons movies.

Well to be honest, Greg was always very smart in school. I always knew he was going to do something big. They made that movie on less than a $30,000 budget yet made millions on it.:eek: Now that is what I am talking about. ;);) Funny thing is, Greg was very popular in school but never seemed to be conceited or stuck-up in any way whatsoever. Just an all around nice guy.

Sorry, but I thought Blair Witch was a complete pile of crap; not scary at all.

I was told that the Spanish version of Quarantine is better. I think it's called "REC" or something like that. Maybe I'll try renting that.

Hi darien. The Blair Witch was nothing to write home about for sure.:rolleyes: However, it was better than Quarantine imho. My point was, the producer of the Blair Witch is from my hometown. As such, I have to offer him my support. After all, it only cost like $25-$30K to make, but took in millions.:eek: When looked at from that perspective, it was a highly successful movie and making money is what it is all about in Hollywood right? ;);) Have not heard a thing about the Spanish version of Quarantine.

Cheers,

Phil

Here's what IMDB says about REC:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/

While covering the night shift at a small-town fire department, an ambitious young television reporter (Manuela Velasco) and her cameraman follow the crew on a call to rescue an elderly woman trapped in her apartment. Upon their arrival at the scene, the calm midnight air is pierced by the sound of horrific screams, and the television report takes an unexpectedly dark turn.

I haven't seen it, so I can't vouch for the original version, but a guy I work with said he liked it.

darien, this movie had a great story-line. But, just was NOT too impressed how it was implemented. After seeing it be sure to share your thoughts. Who knows, you may even like it.

Cheers,

Phil
