The AAC music will sound awesome from earbuds or when you use Airplay to send music from iTunes to your Home Theatre speakers, or with Bluetooth, to active portable Bluetooth speakers. Going cheap Walkman does not have any capabilities and thus it's cheap; but, that translates to expensive, since buying something that does not get you the results you are seeking causing you to re-purchase is always more expensive than just buying a product with the features you want in the first place.
