Well after spending countless hours on this forum I finally decided to go with the SVS MTS-01 Systems with the PB13 :D, so now my question is, what other power source would I need to drive this system to is full potential? I have a DENON 3808, but I'm guessing this is not enough. So any suggestion you guys can input will appreciate it thanks..

This is IMO an outstanding performing system. Have you contacted SVS and asked their opinion on amplification?

IMO that receiver should work fine. You could always connect an amp like this.

Emotiva XPA-3

the Denon 3808 should be perfectly fine - but since i think you are in a dorm room IIRC, you might want to:

1) get an external amp
and/or
2) make sure to set a maximum volume for your Denon 3808 (in the setup/options menu) to make sure other guys dont fry your tweeters by maxing out the volume.

Wow man-talking about going all out.:eek: Way to go as I envy you. No really, congrats on your choices. I do agree that the 3808 should be fine. I got an email from Outlaw the other day and as such, they have a new pre/pro coming out. They also offer some nice amps. Mazer mentioned Emotiva as they also offer a big bang for your buck. Good luck getting the rest of your set-up together. You lucky son of a gun you! ;);)

Cheers,

Phil

Man, that Ultra is never going to be able to pressurize a dorm room. :D J/K, of course.

Wow, that system is going to be awesome for a dorm room. That is completely beyond anything that I had in college. :)

Nice set up. I think the Denon will power it fine but if not just add a BEHRINGER A500 or EP2500.

Congrats on the new system, I can guarantee that sub will blow you away, literally in a dorm room... strap yourself in :D

Looking forward to your impressions of the MTS's... Not enough info out there on the newly revised sound.... I look forward to hearing them again myself...

When I had them powered with just my Pioneer, I had absolutely no issues with clipping whatsoever... should be fine.

Thank you guys for all of your input on my question, well I didn't think the 3808 could handle the system but to be on the save side I will look into a amp "mine as well if Im going all out", so thanks and I will post picks as soon as I receive my system thanks again..
